Welcome to the Review

Welcome to the Essex Student Law Review website! We are a student-run and led publication, serving a platform for debate, discussion and ideas.

The Review was founded in 2019 by Yusuf Panah, an LLB Law with Politics student at the University. The Review's first edition was published in 2020 with contributions from various students on matters such as facial recognition and Human Rights in Russia. The Review is committed to high standards and to making a substantial and meaningful contribution to the legal community both at Essex and the UK.

The Review will publish bi-annually across a wide range of legal and commercial topics. Our main objective is to publish student ideas and discussions in a format that is lighter on the eyes, easier to understand and overall better experience. That is why we will be publishing our review in a journal style rather than the traditional essay format.
